The Soundtrack of My Life.

Ellie at High on Life Junkie tagged me for this meme… It looks interesting, so here goes…

Here’s how it works:
1. open your library (iTunes, winamp, media player, iPod)
2. put it on shuffle
3. press play
4. for every question, type the song that’s playing
5. new question — press the next button
6. don’t lie and try to pretend you’re cool

opening credits: “Flying Home” by Ella Fitzgerald

waking up: “The Only Thing” by Addison Road

first day at school: “Bring a Torch, Jeanette, Isabella” by Sufjan Stevens (apparently I’ll be starting school at Christmastime)

falling in love: “Ten Thousand Angels” by Sandra McCracken

breaking up: “It’s Saturday Night” by The Proclaimers

prom: “Lola” by The Kinks

life’s okay: “Keep the Customer Satisfied” by Simon and Garfunkel
mental breakdown: “When I Get Low, I Get High” by Ella Fitzgerald

driving: “Oh Darling!” by The Beatles

flashback: “World Waits” by Jeremy Enigk

getting back together: “Clam, Crab, Cockle, Cowrie” by Joanna Newsom

wedding: “Someday Never Comes” by Creedence Clearwater Revival (that name had better not ever be true!)

birth of child: “Can’t Buy Me Love” by Michael Buble’

final battle: “Samson” by Regina Spektor

death scene: “From My Own True Love (Lost at Sea)” by The Decemberists (So I’m going to drown?)

end credits: “I Love You All” by Badly Drawn Boy

I have such a weird mix of music that these things always come out badly. I always want to say, “No, I have good music too!” :)

Ah, well.

Update:  I forgot to tag people, so I shall do it now:

  3. You have great music. Very classic. I know I did a similar iPod meme a while ago, but I’m going to do this one on my own. Just cause I’m bored : )

  4. I love the mental breakdown song and I love your mix! I am going to go check out some of the ones I’ve never heard of as I am not as young and hip as you. You saw! I had Donnie Osmond on mine….
